April 23rd
Matthew Hopkins, PhD on "Linear Stability, Suspension Rheology, Neutron Genorators and Bioterrorism." The seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, April 23rd in Lindy Boggs Hall of Tulane University, Uptown. Matthew Hopkins is a Senior Member of the Technical Staff of Sandia National Laboratories.

 

April 9th
Ali El Afif, PhD on "Modeling of the Coupling between Mass Transfer and Deformation in Complex Fluids." The seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, April 9th in the Chastant Room of the Tulane University Center, Uptown. Ali El Afif is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Computational Science of Tulane University.

Dr. Robert Krasny on "A Particle Method and Adaptive Treecode for Vortex Sheet Motion in 3-D Flow." The seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, March 12th at Stibbs Room A of theTulane University Center, Uptown. Dr. Krasny is a Arthur F. Thrunau Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. More info.

Dr. Mark R. Fernandez on ""An Overview of Parallel Programming Paradigms and Techniques for Shared Memory Machines Such as the SGI Origin Series." The seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, March 5th at 600 Boggs Building of Tulane University, Uptown. Dr Fernandez works for the federal branch of SGI as the Senior Systems Engineer. February 5th
Lisa Fauci on "Computational modeling of swimming organisms - an integrative approach". The seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, February 5th at Stibbs Room A of the Tulane University Center, Uptown.

 

January 15th
Dr. Peter Roper on "AHP's, HAP's and DAP's: Modelling Potassium Currents in Vasopressin Cells." The Seminar will be held at 2:30pm on Tuesday, January 15th at 600 Boggs Building Tulane University, Uptown. Dr. Roper is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Mathematical Research Branch of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, NIH. There will be a reception immediately following.
