Commercial software

    Matlab
MATLAB integrates mathematical computing, visualization, and a powerful language to provide a flexible environment for technical computing. The open architecture makes it easy to use MATLAB and its companion products to explore data, create algorithms, and create custom tools that provide early insights and competitive advantages. Documentation on Matlab is available here.
    ADINA
The mission of ADINA R &D is to provide ONE finite element program system the ADINA System that can be used to perform comprehensive finite element analysis of structures, heat transfer, fluids, and their interactions, all in one.
CCS has a 900 node site license of ADINA which makes is available to all faculty at Tulane. For more information on the 900 node license please visit the ADINA page here. If you are a Tulane faculty member and would like to get a copy of ADINA please send email to ccs@tulane.edu for more information.
    Mathematica
From simple calculator operations to large-scale programming and interactive document preparation, Mathematica is the tool of choice at the frontiers of scientific research, in engineering analysis and modeling. Documentation on Mathematica is available here.
    SGI MIPS Pro Compilers
Software Development Environment/Tools. C, C++, Fortran, Ada, and Java. More information is available here
Visual Numerics IMSL Fortran 90 Mathematics and Statistics Libraries
This new generation of Fortran 90-based algorithms are optimized for multiprocessor and other high-performance systems. More information can be found here

    Advanced Visual Systems AVS/5
AVS5 streamlines the creation of scientific and technical visualization apps on UNIX and Linux systems by providing traditional plots and graphs, 3D interactive rendering and volume visualization, and simple interfaces to common visualization techniques. More information can be found here

    Gaussian 98
Gaussian 98 is designed to model a broad range of molecular systems under a variety of conditions, it performs its computations starting from the basic laws of quantum mechanics. More informaton can be found here

    Tecplot
Tecplot is the solution for anyone demanding a single tool with technical plotting capabilities from XY plots and contouring to 3-D visualization. Tecplot, known for its versatility and exceptional publication-quality output.

    GeoFrame
The GeoFrame integrated reservoir characterization system gives you the freedom to precisely describe the subsurface throughout your full exploration and production (E&P) workflow. Integrating project data management, geology, geophysics and modeling, GeoFrame creates a seamless workflow for your multidisciplinary needs.

    Abaqus
Abaqus provides a comprehensive, general-purpose finite element analysis tool that includes a variety of time- and frequency-domain analysis procedures.

    Patran
MSC.Patran is an open-architecture, general purpose, 3-D mechanical computer aided-engineering (MAE) software package with interactive graphics providing a complete CAE environment for linking engineering design, analysis, and results evaluation functions.
